Aakash Sridhar is a pianist and composer from Bangalore, India, whose miusic transforms life's uncertainties into vivid, melodic stories. His writing blends emotional honesty with a strong sense of lyricism, creating music that feels both intimate and expansive.​

Aakash began playing tabla at the age of six, and ever since, music has been a constant presence throughout his life. While pursuing a degree in Computer Science, he performed extensively as a keyboardist and eventually made the decision to pursue music full-time. That decision took him from India to Berklee College of Music, where he earned a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production and received the Berklee Achievement Scholarship (BAS), and ultimately to the University of North Texas, where he earned a Master's degree in jazz piano performance. During his time at UNT, he was awarded both the Dan Stambaugh and the Fred Crane Jazz Piano Scholarship.

While at Berklee, Aakash released his first single 'Road to Oman' inviting some of the musicians he had met in Boston to contribute to his music. He also collaborated with the Berklee Indian Ensemble and recorded keyboards for one of the tracks on the album Shuruaat, which was nominated for a Grammy award for Best Global Music Album in 2022.

Since completing his graduate studies at UNT, Aakash has emerged as a distinctive voice in the Dallas-Fort Worth community, bringing a creative and lyrical approach to piano, composition, and improvisation. 

His debut album Revived Emotions, released in January 2025, brings together original modern jazz compositions inspired by everyday moments and shifting emotions. The music reflects Aakash's belief in jazz as a personal, reflective, and deeply expressive language.

Currently, Aakash is working on his second album Guided by Change, set for release in 2027. The album explores the process of navigating change even when the outcome remains uncertain. Rather than presenting change as something to overcome, the project approaches it as a source of discovery and creative possibility.
